The new EL Sports, former European Football Pool, is the organization of state regulated sports betting lotteries. ELS currently holds 18 sports lotteries from 17 countries and growing.

EL Sports' (ELS) predecessor, The European Football Pool (EFP), the association of state lotteries and gaming companies originally had the task of participating in the UEFA Intertoto Cup and was thus a long-standing partner of UEFA, providing substantial financial contributions for the competition. The new ELS has now grown into a member service body for the regulated sports betting business, working primeraly hand in hand with the European State Lottery and Toto Association (EL), but also with the World Lottery Association (WLA).

World Lottery Association (WLA)
The World Lottery Association (WLA) is the trade association of the worldwide lottery and sports betting industry. Formed in 1999 when the International State Lottery Association (AILE) merged with the International Association of Toto and Lotto Organizations (Intertoto), the WLA promotes the role of regulated gaming in society, sets worldwide standards for lottery management, security and integrity, and provides value-added services to members. Currently 143 gaming operators from 74 countries are members of the WLA and 56 gaming industry suppliers from all over the world are associate members.
Member organizations must be authorized to conduct gaming operations in their respective jurisdictions and must abide by a strict Code of Conduct. Sales of games of chance and/or skill must account for the majority of the organization's total annual gross revenues, and the majority of the organization's net revenues must be dedicated to the public good.
